well you probably can't get hired at stores & such cuz most employers hire at 16+....so maybe you can babysit and do chores around the house or for your neighbors.
2 :
good luck with that one.. i remember being 14 and trying to raise money- it sucked. sorry to tell you, but yard work is probably your best bet! lol platos closet? <--( a place to sell old clothes?) i make money like that sometimes... a yard sale.... and when I was 14 I worked at a telemarketing office... good pay! boring job :( just some thoughts
3 :
Working graveyard shifts in a 24hr supermarket. Good money and easy work. Unfortunately it will be crap hours and you'll have no social life but its best way to save.
4 :
im 13 and i baby-sit twice a week...i get paied $10 a day...(they offered to pay $20 a day but my mom thought that was too much and plus 1 of them hasnt had a job for a while....)but it is fun and i enjoy it...if u dont like that...do the classic...sell lemonade..hehe...it does work..=P good luck!!
5 :
mow lawns, ask for raise on allowance, if its not enough ask your parents 2 pay for half of the expenses of the trip

depending on what state you live in, you may need to be a certain age to get working papers. Usually that age is 14, so you should be good. Many resturants could use help, whether it be hostessing, busing tables or washing dishes. Waitng tables is where you find the most money in a resturant, but you may have to be older to do that. If you live by the beach, lifegurading and badgechecking can be great jobs, but remember to wear sunscreen! Also, many local stores may be looking for a helping hand to do odd jobs. Ask around even if there arent an "help wanted" signs in the window, you never know if people need you. Remember to be polite when talking to a perspective employer, and to show your responsibility. Babysitting is also a great way to make money, and a simple job since many families pay 10 dollars an hour and even more. If your a boy and skeptical about babysitting (you shouldn't be though!), try getting a job with a landscaping company. Try not to spend your money as you earn it too. Put 50%, or even 75% into an envolope and mark that as Mexico money, and DO NOT spend it. Good luck and have fun in Mexico!!!
7 :
Babysit, mow lawns, lots of grocery stores hire after your 14th birthday. But check around sooner rather than later, the good summer jobs will fill up quickly. Also, ask (with your parents' permission, of course,) if you can pick up a few weekend hours once school starts. This way, you will continue to make money throughout the year. Good luck!

yard work babysit do odd jobs deliever newspapers

I was 14 when I started working. It depends on where you live but you can make pretty good money working on a farm. They always need help. I worked for a farm that was called Pony Express and they provided amusements like pony rides, moon bounces, etc... around the farm they always need help. It's hard work, I'm not gonna sugar coat it but if you really want to work for the money, go talk to your friendly farmer. Promise him you will be there early in the morning and you will do whatever he needs done. (Including shoveling poop from stalls) Hope this helps ya!

Work permits are required for minors, and you need to be 15 1/2 minimum to get one in California. Most employers wont consider anyone under age 16. Selling items on eBay is one way to go. Paper route is another way, but the pay sucks, it's labor intensive, it can and is most often a 7 day a week gig, and it's a slow process to get paid. Your best bet is yard work and in particular mowing lawns. I made over $600 doing this at 14 over the summer. Go door to door with a lawn mower. (If you don't have one borrow one, or as a last resort offer to use the owners mower if they have one) Offer $10 for the front lawn (Assuming it's a medium to small lawn) and tell them you will throw in the back yard for only another $5 (Again assuming it's a medium to small lawn) If they have a large or huge lawn add $5-$10 to the price. You always want them to feel like they are getting a deal, and remember it's about volume of lawns mowed, not about getting the most $ per customer. (make sure you take a full gas can with you) Good Luck!

is it feasible to save money and move to Mexico and can Americans make a living there?

You can make living anywhere, it just depends on what can you do???
2 :
Wouldn't try personally...cost of living is cheaper but so are wages by far. And Americans are not looked on too kindly when it comes to any type of dealings with police or politicians. I know of people who bought dream home down there on the beach front only to have developer come in and bulldoze beach front for apartments, nothing they can do at all...
3 :
I know someone who did it and he's pretty happy. So yes I think it's feasible as long as you realize the risks involved as well as the cost, time and planning that are needed to pursue such a venture. If you're skilled in vocation or profession people demand (he's a tree surgeon) you can go almost anywhere in the world and use your skills to make good money.
4 :
Hi, yes you can move to Mexico, but to really get the arbitrage advantage of the low cost of living you have to keep your american wage in a way or the other... Otherwise you will be paid in local currency at the local average wage, and then NO you won't save. The ideal situation is to keep your $10/hr income (assumption) and live in any mexican city which has a considerable lower cost of living than their american counterparts. This is the only feasible scenario that can make you save a lot of money (or live like a king)
5 :
Oh, sure, you can go to Mexico and work. Just be sure to ask yourself why they all come here, and have a good answer before you go.
6 :
My husband has been doing a lot of research on this. Seems like you can live there for less money than most places in the U.S. However, jobs are few and far between and they will not give them to a gringo. You have to have a certain income to be allowed to live as an immigrant.
7 :
hellll no, Mexicans can barely make a decent living there. The country is way beyond corrupt! Seriously though if you apply to a major corp you can make good moneyeny but Americans cant buy any land out there,....only in Baja
8 :
There are tons of people that are retiring to Mexico. I would not recommend moving there to work unless you have an idea for your own personal business in mind. It's tough enough as it is.

i think the government should legalize everything that way they can tax everyone for it~

Most chemicals to make drugs come FROM mexico, such as phteamine based chems like ephedrine etc. Mexico is also plays a huge roll in the underground railroad for the smuggling of cocain. A lot of weapons come from the US but other countries sell them cheaper. Once again this comes to locking down our borders and being more strict on a closed border policy.
4 :
Actually, I don't think the chemicals come from the US. One of the thing that has started happening since the US began to really restrict chemicals (we have to give ID and a signature to get cough medicine for Pete's sake) is that we've caught a lot of people coming from Mexico with the chemicals, because they are so hard to buy here. They want to have meth labs and distribute here. Drug money I am not sure about, because we have all sorts of programs to try to keep people off of drugs and we obviously haven't hit on a fix yet. But if you stop the drugs, there will be nothing to buy.

Well aren't you ignorant?! Lol you haven't been deep into Mexico obviously. You should definitely check out what is called the EZLN in Mexico. Get some education
5 :
You need to do a little more traveling in Mexico. I too have been to Mexico many times, and can tell you for a fact they have more poor people than anyplace I've ever seen except Asia. Does this mean they are the poorest country; of course not! However being really poor in Mexico (any part) is critical to life.
6 :
Don't they do that with most (If not all) Latino countries? They always show the poverty and the grime, but never show the rest which in most cases (In most countries) is the vast majority.
7 :
Because bitch ass white people are racist and don't like mexicans , BUT Mexicans are the best race there is . We got good food , good music , good culture , good skills , we ship all the drugs to America from Mexico and we import alot of good beer , Most of California is Mexican and the U.S. , we do all the construction because Mexicans are very good at that and fixing cars and making Mexican food , most gangters are MEXICAN and the rest are different races . Sorry if I offended any race , I'm not racist , I respect all races . I have alot of homies and homegirls who are other races .
8 :
I prefer places in Mexico that are far away from the resorts and touristy areas. Little towns that are full of good Mexican family type people. I didn't notice if they were rich or poor. I did however notice extreme poverty in the U.S., along with very, very high crime. It made me cry, in one city, to think that people had to live there. This was before the 2008 crash. Before my first trip to the U.S., I thought everyone there was going to be rich, skinny and beautiful. I was a young teenager, and that was all I'd ever seen on tv. Before I went to Mexico, I was warned and believed that I'd have to hide all my belongings from any of the 'locals' as they'd steal from me. And to be careful of the Mexican men. I'd never seen so many poor, unkempt, obese, dirty people as I did in the U.S. (Newport Beach, C.A.), and, I'd never been to such a nice place as Mexico. And, the Mexicans were absolute lovely people. In Mexico, the only men to worry about for me, were the fat, money bags, Americans leering at the young Mexican girls. Funny how powerful the media can be.
9 :
because of the extent of the organized crime there and the fact that a lot of them come to the US often
10 :
Gracias a las peliculas, donde todavia presentan a Mexico con gente montando burros.... Aqui en Chihuahua yo solo he visto burros en el Zoologico o en el Expogan..........
