I read he is also asking for this money to stop the drug cartails. Aren't we doing enough for Mexico. We send Billions back to their economy, we give health care and education. They have a lot of gas they could sell to make money. So why should we support there crime problem.

Do you all realize that prostitution is LEGAL in Mexico??
My grandfather (nasty old lecher that he is) lived in Mexico for 20 years (had to take his own money cause they will let you live there but not work.). Now from what he tells me (which is hearsay but from someone who experienced this) the families there will actually send their daughters out on the streets to make money being prostitutes. Matter of fact they do this at the age of 15! He even told me about one 13 year old. Not to mention that their dads would bring them to him! Oh and the wives don't get it any better, their husbands will send them out hookin' too. And before anyone says anything, YES my grandfather is a dirty nasty lecherous old man. I realize this. I also realize that he was wrong in taking advantage of this. HOWEVER, do we want the U.S. overrun by a culture that does this to their teenage daughters??? If we didn't have all these ILLEGAL immigrants here to pay for (wellfare, health care, etc) then maybe we would have the funds to direct towards taking care of the issues stated below. However, keep in mind that the crack is coming from cocaine which is coming from the countries a lot of these immigrants are coming from.

Why do Mexicans hate Mexico?
Why do Mexicans hate Mexico?
I don't seem to understand fully. People hate Mexico, so they come to the US to make money. Then they leave the US after accumulating a sum of money, and go back to Mexico. If Mexico is so bad, why don't they rise up and do something about it? Get rid of the government and make your country a productive one. If Mexico was not a piece, do you think that we would want to keep them out?

To come to the U.S. and work, send American dollars back to mexico equals a lot of money when converted to pesos.

Where the problem lies is that they are not schooled as to how American politics work, our cultures, or way of life, and think that Americans are accepting of any situation. After all, when an impovished country notices signs posted to go to America, and actual places to go to get free services when they arrive, well, what do you think happens next? For a long time, these signs were posted and distributed to go to Georgia in the United States, much land, many free services, etc. And I'm sure other states as well. As you see, we are not recieving any Doctors, scientists, etc. If we do they stay awhile, then take the money they have earned and go back to Mexico, because they can live like millionares. The poor people stay because America gives away food, clothes, food stamps, welfare, job training, protection, medical services, child care, free rent, etc. etc. And lets not forget free education, college included. great, huh? What happens to the poor American families who are told that they cannot get these services? No tax shelters, and in some states if you have no qualifying children you cannot get medical or dental help because you cannot afford it. Hey, see the total picture.

They better bring more than 12 million if they want to take it back from us. We will not lay down and let them overrun us. Look at L.A. and you will see what will become of the US if they succeed. My problem is that they don't like Mexico enough that they want to leave, but want to bring it with them. Everyone honors and celebrates their own heritage, but those of us who honor different heritage and the American culture should be respected as well. Particularly since this is the home culture, and they are the ones who chose to come to us. rory, all of that about high crime etc. is happening here now, in part as a result of uncontrolled illegal immigration of gang members from Central America and criminals. Many illegal immigrants are hard workers, but a much higher proportion of those who illegally cross the border are violent criminals including gang members than the proportion in our society as a whole. We don't want those problems brought here. Do illegal immigrants want that here? I mean, isn't that what they were trying to leave behind? Me, I want to secure the border.

But mostly they have families and eventually stay because their children are born & raised in the US. But i've never met a mexican that said they r coming here to live off of welfare, most come to work for dollars and in hope of a better life. No its not right for them to come illegally, but they aren't going to wait 10 years for a visa. And it doesn't help that our gvmt has let this problem evolve into 12 million undocumented PEOPLE, but its too late and these PEOPLE r here to stay.

Are those with connections to Mexico more interested in the welfare for the people of Mexico. Isn't angela R from Mexico is this why she condones fraud,stealing of ids she suppose to be a chruch going person but her chruch is only worried about filling up the pews and adding to the collection plate-pass the loot at any cost. angela R pro claims the laws of America do not apply to her like Bush she answers to a higher power who had to put right and wrong on earth. i have $2,000 and need to do something to get more money (invest them) what do i do?
I live in Mexico so things are cheaper here, but anyway, I have to make more money and more money and more money with just that. Any ideas?

try buying bonds, or cds. They earn value over time of sitting in the bank, it depends on when ya need the money really. Invest in some sort of online commerce, a store through ebay dropshipping highly discounted items.

buy drugs, come to america and resell them at our prices. Then once you make enough pay poor people to do it for you and ensure they don't steal any by like holding their families hostage or something. Then live in luxury.

What is causing this rush of illegal immigrants from Mexico into the United States?
During the 90s, you didn't hear so much about this happening. So why are so many Mexicans trying to get into the US now? Do they know something I don't know about making money in the US? Wow!! Dar, according to the graphs, it shows that the US needs to put a cap on how many immigrants enter the US to keep it from being over-populated.

I don't know. Perhaps they believe they will make a better living here, not knowing it's a whole lot worst here.

I think it's a direct result of katrina and other devastating storms in the south. Illegal Mexicans have been an issue since the beginning of our boundaries. It's just after the storms that the wave of immigration hit us all. tens of thousands of people were displaced and had to make lives elsewhere. The illegals now are not so confined to the border areas and have come to small town America. They steal identities to get jobs. I believe my neighbor to be illegals and they have 10 cars there on Friday night when everyone's home for the weekend. They live 10-18 in a one family dwelling. If all of them are working and sharing the bills, it's pretty cheap to live and they make lost of $$

There has always been illegals coming to the US. We are hearing about it more now b/c of 9-11 and all the terrorist trying to come into the country. The illegals just prove how easy it is to enter the US. Another reason is for a while there was talk of giving the illegals already here citizenship. This cause more illegals to enter with the promise of citizenship.

yea, the cartels are taking over and if if your not being a mule, a prostitute, an alien smuggler or something to bring in revenue to the cartels then they don't need you. The Mexican gov't lost their balls years ago and they will "never" get them back. Its a lost cause over there.

Most immigrants are from really poor Southern rural mexico where people are desparate for jobs. (38% of all Central Americans are below the poverty line). And the US has lots of jobs that most Americans won't even think about doing but for poor southern Mexicans those jobs are perfect and literally save their lives. Fix Mexican govt & their economy and the flow of immigrants will stop.

However, after 9/11, the problem of illegal immigration was raised to a national security issue...and it has been virtually non-stop on the lips of politicians and news anchors. I wouldn't say that Mexicans (or any other nationality) necessarily know more about making money...so much as they are more willing to take risks like illegal immigration to support themselves or their families.

And living in the streets here is better living in a rundown house there. They can get work easily since they don't require as much pay as we do and they get paid under the table which means even more money for them.

THey happen to be from guatamala, el salvador, honduras, panama, etc etc. I can see the tijuana ./san diego fence from my house and trust me there are not any illegals hanging on the fence trying to get across. My brother speaks fluent Spanish and this is what he says the illegal aliens say about the U.S./citizens of the U.S. They say that they want their territory back. 200 years ago, they Mexico owned California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, etc. They know that they can get away with whatever they do. They know that the government won't punish them and they can get free money. They think that Americans are stupid for letting them in the country, so they feel welcome here. They can get what they want, as long as they threaten to sue for racism.

The reason is that Mexico is so inept and corrupted with their financially situation that they don't know where their money is going to. Well, everybody knows that their money is going into their pockets but they are not going to admit it. well, one of this corrupted government officials decided that is better for the Mexican government to send their poor, uneducated, sick, etc. citizens to the USA so they could work and then send their money back to Mexico. Strangely enough, I read that they tightened border security and built a partial wall. After that immigrants quit going home(they used to come over temporarily) because crossing became difficult so they started staying, bringing families etc. "On a recent visit to the binational Arizona border town of Nogales, I stood on the U.S. side of a 2.5-mile-long, 12-foot-high wall erected by the Clinton administration that divides the town in two.
