I have an idea........to help Mexico and make people love and respect their country and want to stay?
We are all so pissed about the "illegal immigration" instead of "protesting and wanting to shoot" why don't we fix the problem. Why not use the money that we are currently spending on illegals here usefully. Like select a coaliation of "amazing engineers, politicians, civil rights activists" and have them implement a program in Mexico. I would suggest a year or longer commitment to this plan. Politics aside....you send a force like that and people will stop trying to run and say "lets see what they can do"? What do you think? Hello....read the details...I said USE THE MONEY WE ARE CURRENTLY SPENDING ON ILLEGALS (MEDICAL, FOODSTAMPS, ETC.) AND PAY THE COALITION.

Hey genius, these people are CRIMINALS, nothing more. They need to be shipped off to the southern tip of South America so they dont return. ALL of them.

Good idea but who is going to pay this coalition of amazing people? The taxpayers of the USA or the Mexican people? Where does the funds come from? The coalition people can't work for free, either, they have bills to pay and families to feed, too.

Like a Marshal Plan? I think it's a good idea and worth the cost.
4 :
You are suggesting that we give them even more of our resources then we are now? It is really about law and resources. The more illegals the more criminals..the more resources gone for ever from your family and mine.
5 :
Yeah that's what we need more civil rights activist to pay. I think they need to hire more sharp shooters and protect the borders.

USe the money we are already spending?....And then pay DOUBLE because we'll still be supporting the ones that are still here while this CHANGE is taking place in Mexico?....No thanks.

I think that it sounds like a great idea, but at the same time Mexico needs a president that gives to their country instead of away from their country. I have been to parts of Mexico and it saddens me to see a beautiful country look so poor.I know alot of people are saying "What about our country" I have to say that at least our country has job opportunities that Mexico don't. Their is a reason why immigrants come here. Instead of looking down on them we should be proud and support them. After all this country was built on immigrants.

Mexico's big problem is debt. They owe like 161 billion dollars today. They borrowed it from the US and Europe back during the Depression.Maybe they should forgive it.......And here comes the insults....

It´s a lovely idea, but doesn´t sound like anything the current US administration would go for. After all, while hyping the immigration issue in the media and, frankly, whipping up racism, they are also quite happy to turn a blind eye to US businesses using cheap illegal labour. It´s happening in all western countries at the moment. The media, backed by the government, incites its citizens to be worried about illegal immigration, while the economy actually benefits from the black market economy working with it. I´m in Mexico now on holiday, but staying with family. It´s a hard place, with a bad atmosphere. It definitely needs some help, but everyone here says the corruption is so far reaching, there is no hope. Your idea is nice but too socialist for anyone in today´s political arena and, like Iraq, would require serious investment, commitment and integrity..... never forget it´s all about the money.

Seems like a good idea. EU had its mexicos too and Germany and France had to pump in a lot of cash to get them up and running. Maybe "a coalition of 'amazing engineers, politicians, civil rights activists'" is a little condescending, though. If I have it right, EU sets macroeconomic targets for its membership candidates. It would take a whole lot more than a year, but eventually would payoff

Very unlikely the Mexican governement would even consider an action like that. It would disrupt their corruptive system and Mexico depends heavily on the 1/3 of GNP the illegal and legal immigrants send back to Mexico.
13 :
Yeah right! Send them to the bottom of the sea for all I care. Why spend more money on these useless criminals. All the money they get is going back to mexico and el salvador, guatamala ect. You want to give them more? Why don't you leave with them?
14 :
I don't think it would be that easy, but something in that direction could work.
15 :
IT'S NICE WHEN U THINK ABOUT IT, BUT THERE IS TOO MUCH RED TAPE, AND AMERICA HAS HELPED MEXICO ENOUGH
16 :
you live on planet stupid

ha ha yeah like we give them more and more
