No. Why should we do anything to Mexico? Let them be responsible for their own country.
2 :
Yes, just like we had to clean up Iraq
3 :
No, just send the illegals back to clean up their own mess.
4 :
We can clean up Mexico like we cleaned up Hiroshima.
5 :
We should nuke that toilet, then send troops in to finish off the survivors, then deport all the illegals to rebuild it.
6 :
Nope. Carpet bombing is cheaper.
7 :
it would be better then having the US foot all the bills out of tax payers money
8 :
What other countries? Have other countries contributed to Mexico's demise? Are any other countries being affected by Mexico?
9 :
No, if we clean up a government, it should be our own and let other countries deal with their own problems.
10 :
No they are responsible for their own welfare just as we are ours

I want to be a flight attendant in Cancun, Mexico... How can I make this happen?

I want to be a flight attendant in Cancun, Mexico... How can I make this happen?
I want to be a flight attendant in Cancun, Mexico... How can I make this happen? 19 year old female from the United States, I'm currently learning spanish and serving at a restuarant, saving up as much money as possible to make my dream come true!!! I want to move to Cancun on my own, and become a flight attendant there. What do I need to do and how can I make this happen? Should I move there first, then try to get the job when I'm there? Or is there anyway I can get a flight attendant job here in the states, then transfer to Cancun? Any advice would be so wonderful!! I just need to know how to go about this and how to get started on making my dreams really come true!!!! Thanks :)

Unfortunately there are no US airlines that have a hub in Cancun. When you become a flight attendant, you will be assigned to a hub city. You will be assigned flights out of that hub city, but you don’t get to pick your flights or routes until you have seniority which can take at least 5 years, and even then you can’t always pick your flights. You will often go on multi segment trips, spend the night in once city, and leave the next morning on a few more segments before returning to your hub. Many flight attendants are often assigned to a hub away from where they live. For example, one flight attendant I know lives in Indianapolis, and must fly to Atlanta on his own to begin work. As he is traveling for work, he can fly for free to get there and has priority over other standby travelers. The flight attendant who helped me answer this was working out of a hub city near where she lived, however she was then reassigned to another hub and ended up having to move because she could not fly to the new hub in time to be able to work there. Being a flight attendant is not a glamorous lifestyle. You will work 15 hour days, often several days in a row with as little as 6 hours sleep in between in a cheap hotel in a strange city. You don’t get to pick where you are based, and you don’t get to pick your flights. It’s a very rough life. I am sorry if this upsets you, but this is reality. Mexicana does have a Hub in Cancun, and are a Mexican based airline. You can contact them about becoming a flight attendant, however it is unlikely they would hire you unless you are a Mexican citizen. If you work for a US based carrier, perhaps by speaking Spanish you would be more likely to be placed on flights to/from Mexico, however not always Cancun, and not always Mexico, there are many other Spanish speaking countries. Continental has the most flights to/from Latin America of any US based carrier. However they are going through a merger, so it is not likely they will be hiring any time soon. You may still wish to contact them and ask them about the possibility of working for them. The next time you fly, ask your flight attendant to tell you about her/his job and what they like and don’t like. I know several flight attendants, and had one of them help me answer this (We hang out when I am not flying too). However asking more can always provide new perspectives. Good luck!

Suggestions for ways to make money at home?

Suggestions for ways to make money at home?
I know everyone wants to work at home, but I thought maybe someone really does and would be able to help. In short, I live in a city where finding a good job is impossible(honestly). I am about to have my second baby, and I want ANYTHING that I can do from home that is legit. Whether it's stuffing envelopes, doing something online. . Or maybe you have a suggestion for something I could make and sell? I just need ideas. Desperate situation. Thanks for your help! P.S. I live in New Mexico, and I don't need to get rich, I just need a small amount of income per month, maybe 200 extra dollars would do the trick!

Mind a baby for another working mother, or provide a service where you collect a child from school at end of school day, give a meal and supervise until parents return from work. Tutor something - how to play a musical instrument or speak a foreign language. If you can, rent out a room or even parking space. Provide an ironing service.
2 :
There is a company called ChaCha that is based in Carmel, Indiana. They pay people to answer questions that cell phone users text into them. If you need extra money, this may be great for you. You should have no problems making $200.00 per month. Go to http://becomeaguide.chacha.com/
3 :
If you would like to make extra money from home, I highly suggest taking surveys online and participating in focus groups in your area. That would easy get you to top the $200 mark depending on how much time and effort you put forth. To get started immediately making money with surveys with zero down with reliable companies, start here: http://www.free-paying-surveys.info. I also suggest preparing a resume for yourself so that you can properly apply for work-at-home jobs. There are so many reputable companies looking for work-at-home contractors, they pay well, and some of them are top brands like uhaul or 1-800-flowers. I was hired by one and also do my surveys which includes product testing (free food & household goods to test and get paid for!) and interactive surveys on the side which is why I have more than enough money coming in to pay my rent and bills. I do not have to spend gas money nor do I have to deal with inconsiderate nazi bosses. My boss is respectful and decent and I'm not micromanaged. I love living and working this way! I feel liberated! Good luck!

Hi Autumn, I totally understand your feeling of needing to make a little bit extra each month. You might try the system that I use to generate extra income. The free ebook you can get on my source site explains how the system works. Best of Luck, James

probably, but you can't get a hunting or fishing license in oklahoma or texas.

Wait a second... You are going to mexico for work?!?! Immigration, ur doing it wrong.
3 :
If you are in arrears of child support payments in excess of $2,500, you are ineligible to receive a U.S. passport.
4 :
It depends on whether Child Support Enforcement has made a notification, which they can do when you have more than $2500 in arrears. She needs not have taken an action for this to happen. Why are you in arrears? If it's due to a justifiable reason, you could get it reduced. To learn a father's rights, join Dads House in Yahoo Groups. We spend so much money fighting drugs and border security, why can't we dig a canal between the US and Mexico?
Wouldn't building a lock or canal system across our border make it much easier to control traffic in and out of the US? It seems like we are willing to spend an infinite amount of money to try to control our border in what appears to be a futile effort anyway. Also, if big enough, wouldn't it help passage of ships from the Atlantic to Pacific Ocean? And depending on desalination technology...possibly solar powered...wouldn't this help agriculture in these areas? I know you would have to rebuild roads and make new bridges, but wouldn't all this also help the US economy? Construction workers would likely relocate their families to the border areas, bringing money into the local economies. Even Mexican citizens can be employed to help with the construction, helping them make money.

Take Panama and multiply it by about 100. Reconsider.
2 :
good idea...make it deep and pumpt water into it...but there has to be a couple bridges for traffic,...
3 :
Because it would be quite deep in some areas, the entire border is not at sea level. Would be much easier to build two fences with a death zone in between the two.
4 :
The canal would have to be extremely long. It is much too long to be cost effective but it would give the U.S. control over goods going from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific again. We lost control of the Panama Canal after the fool Jimmy Carter sold it to the Chinese.
5 :
We already built a huge canal further south in Panama. We have no need for one further north. Also, The Panama location was chosen because of the least amount of land that needed to be moved. If you look at a globe or even Google Earth you will see what a massive undertaking that would be. It is impractical.
6 :
A canal won't stop anything... I know several Mexicans that know how to swim. I also know a few that own boats. This is a dumb idea.
7 :
That will not work but thanks for trying.*
8 :
You are talking about spending trillions and trillions of dollars with an uncertain chance of success. First of all, you are talking about a very long distance to dig. That is over 1900 miles. That would take decades to dig out. The environmental impact would be tremendous. Plus, where do you plan on getting the water to fill this thing? Even if you have a great desalination plant going at the Gulf of Mexico, you will not be able to produce enough water to keep this thing filled. 1900 miles, lets say the thing is 50 feet wide and 20 feet deep. That would take 75,044,571,400 gallons of water to fill it. If your desalination plant can produce a million gallons a day then it will take over 200 years to fill this thing up. I know it does rain from time to time in these areas but I am figuring that the rain will compensate for evaporation. Plus, there is some really tough terrain out there. You are talking about digging up mountains. Not an easy task. Even after it was all said and done it would not go a long way towards slowing down illegal immigration or the drug flow. Unless you have security guards watching every inch of the thing then people will not have a hard time swimming across or boating across or building their own bridges or flying over it or some other imaginative method of getting across. Lets say that you plan in hiring security guards to watch every inch of the thing. Lets say one guard every 500 feet (that is a lot of area for them to watch but oh well). You have 3 8 hour shifts and each guard makes $25,000 a year. That would take 60,000 guards and would cost the U.S. $1,504,800,000. That is just salaries and that is without management or benefits or structures or training or equipment and various other costs. In the end, this idea is not technically feasible, econically viable, or able to fix the problem it is proposed to fix.
9 :
Nope it it is an absurd idea and the initial cost would be astronomical due to the fact that the U.S. Mexican border spans approximately 1,969 miles. To put this into perspective the Panama Canal which is considered to be one of the greatest achievements in engineering history spans a mere 50 miles from deep water to deep water. I don't have the time to really get into the logistics of the whole project but it would be a very expensive endeavor that would do absolutely nothing to stop illegal immigration or drug trafficking to the U.S.
10 :
Wouldn't do any good. Beaners can swim. Why do you think they're called wetbacks?
11 :
Because our politicians are far from aligned about what to do about illegal immigration, or even admitting that there is a problem. I suspect it has a lot to with major corporations loving employing illegals below minimum wages.

Do you think I can make money this way?

Do you think I can make money this way?
If I borrow money from an individual and pay 5 percent interest to them, and use the money I borrow to lend to another person or company charging 25 percent interest. My Uncle in Mexico became rich this way. Obviously I would have to do this kind of business in Mexico where people can't declare bankruptcy, thus eliminating much of the risk. I just came from Mexico and to my surprise, there was no fear of the drug cartels... The media exaggerates situations, and it's mostly the Northern states that are having mafia issues. There's a saying in Mexico "Mind your own business and you'll stay alive." It's not hard.

Yes, you would make money with that plan - if it works, that is. If you don't consider being beheaded or murdered a risk, go for it !!! ---------------------- Have you been following the news lately ??? There's a LOT of violence happening in Mexico right now. People are being beheaded and the killers leave your decapitated head sitting in your dead body's lap. I'm never going back to Mexico. No way, Jose. (And I want the illegal Mexican immigrants who are sucking off the US welfare system deported as well, but Obamaman isn't cool with that). --------------- OK. Like I said, go for it !!!

do you think should I leave mexico?

do you think should I leave mexico?
I am mexican but I feel afraid for the conditions of my country and I don't feel there are jobs, I know many countries dislike the mexican people because they think we want go to as illegals but I don't know, I can't afford to leave Mexico, Mexico has been never good but many immigrants are Ok with living in mexico why is that? I am not against immigrants from another country but I feel many countries hate mexicans according tv and many americans or europeans come to mexico and they make money how is that? actually I have a bachelor degree and there is not job in my town and I live in a city where the violence hasn't come yet

cause americans think they're better and they beleive that they can just immigrate into another country cause they're better. In my opinion, the mexican police should arrest american illegals also cause its what americans are doing to mexicans in the US
2 :
No...you should not leave Mexico. You should stay, get an education and make a success of your life. I know young people who have built a business from scratch and made a success of themselves. Mexico needs young people to help build a better Mexico. don't worry about what other countries think. People from other countries who come to Mexico, live here...and I know MANY Americans and Europeans who live here in Mexico...know what the Mexican people are really like.
3 :
I actually love my culture, traditions, and the I love the piece of land where I live, but I hate what some people have done with my nation, we are starting a war, and It's better to be prepared and leave our Mexico, the government sucks, also police and those people who used to care about security now, I'm afraid of them instead of trust them, harmful, I'll miss Mexico I hope everything changes in a future. Por lo tanto da un buen ejemplo a cualquier lugar a donde vayas, rompe con esos estereotipos que tienen de nosotros, MUCHA SUERTE!!
4 :
Yes, you should try to leave. If you already have a licenciatura you might try and get into a master program in some developed country. While studying in another country you might receive a good job offer. I know several young educated Mexicans who have done this. Mexico has no future for bright, young, good people; only for corrupt politicians and narcos. My son and all of his friends are planning to make their lives elsewhere - several already have. I wish you the best. edit: and don-t forget. In a desperate attempt to turn public opinion against the government war on drug gangs the gangs are murdering innocent Mexican high school and university students. http://www.jornada.unam.mx/ultimas/2011/04/06/arranca-marcha-en-morelos-contra-la-violencia/?searchterm=sicilia GO. 5 :
The person who says mexico has no future for young people is wrong. Think about what you're good at, what contacts you have, and who could lend you a bit of money and maybe think about setting up your own business My boyfriend did this - started up a publicity company making branded items for companies and within a year he was making more money doing that then at his full time job! I'm not saying its easy to do, but it can definitely be considered an option. Most of the europeans/americans who make money here have either set up a business or have been sent to work by companies in their home country - thus they get paid at the level they would expect at home and it goes further here. Other europeans who say, teach english, make enough money to live but don't make enough for luxuries Most countries don't dislike mexicans, in fact to be honest most europeans don't know all that much about mexico. Americans do often associate mexico with the immigration/violence problem, but not all of them do! You have a degree so you're in a better position than people who finished after high school. Maybe move to a bigger city, or look at options for businesses
6 :
i live in tijuana and i'm an american citizen and IM NOT AFFRAID! i like it here
7 :
if there are no jobs where you live then maybe you need to move to a different city where there is work available. if you went to school then look for jobs online and move to where there is something for you to do. You speak english and have a bachelor degree so there ARE jobs. Americans and Europeans come to Mexico and make money maybe because they are professionals in their field with a lot of experience and are able to get good paying jobs. If you can't afford to leave Mexico then how will you do it? And no, people don't hate Mexicans. Go to Canada, they love everybody.

You already know the answer dude. Ya sabes la respuesta güey. Hay que irnos.
